Need a snack that’s perfect for every holiday? I’ve got you covered with these M&M and Pretzel-Kiss Bites! The sweet and salty treat is a true crowd pleaser and can be modified based on the occasion.
Festive and Bright
This was the first year I didn’t go all out with Christmas cookie decorating. The holidays kind of snuck up on me, so I kept it really simple with peanut butter blossoms. With half a bag of Kisses left and a full bag of pretzels in the pantry, my mind immediately went to the perfect, quick and easy snack. I grabbed some red and green M&Ms and was all set to go. The good thing about this treat is that it can be modified based on the occasion or holiday. Valentine’s Day? Use red and pink M&Ms. 4th of July? Red, White and Blue. Festive and bright all year round!
Making M&M and Pretzel-Kiss Bites
- 75 Pretzel Squares (Plain)
- 75 M&Ms – Colors of your choice!
- 75 Dark Chocolate Hershey’s Kisses (16 Oz Bag)
Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone baking sheet. Preheat oven to 300F
Lay out pretzel squares flat on baking sheets leaving only a little space between pretzels. Place a kiss in the middle of each square. Bake for 3-4 minutes until Kiss is softened but not fully melted. Remove from oven and immediately place an M&M on top of each kiss. Use light pressure to push M&M down into Kiss.
Allow to cool at room temperature. You can also pop the baking sheets in the fridge to chill to expedite the setting process.
Note: For the non-chocolate loving folks out there, another option is to replace Kisses with caramel squares and bake for 5-6 minutes and press pecans down into the caramel. Just as delicious!Print
